Are you an analytical thinker with a passion for conveyor systems and cost estimation? We have an exciting opportunity based in Novi, MI, for a skilled Mechanical Estimator specializing in conveyor systems within the automotive manufacturing industry. This hybrid role offers the flexibility to work both on-site and remotely.

• Develop precise cost estimates for Materials Handling Systems, including body welding, paint, and assembly lines.
• Conduct engineering analysis to design efficient and dependable material handling systems that align with client expectations.
• Contribute to the design and development of innovative conveyor systems and related equipment.
• Provide detailed cost evaluations for mechanical and structural components and assist in the preparation of bid proposals.
• Work closely with customer engineers to gather system requirements and translate them into effective technical specifications.
• Identify and evaluate cost-effective material handling solutions that meet project requirements while optimizing budget constraints.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in estimating costs for mechanical and structural components of material handling systems.
• Proven ability to perform engineering studies and develop systems tailored to customer needs.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is preferred, although candidates with equivalent experience will be considered.
