Senior Application Engineer - HR Technology focus Hybrid WFH in Chicago, NYC, Dallas, Austin or Houston Summary This position is focused on driving continuous improvement to our suite of HR technology applications. We use dynamic technology that supports various functions of HR, including HRIS, ATS, LMS, etc. We are looking for an individual that has dynamic experience across multiple HR systems, vendors, modules, etc. to have a holistic view of how we can best optimize functionality across these systems, and realize synergies through integrations. This position will be very involved with solutioning, in addition to technical delivery, technical integrations and escalated technical support. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Lead the evaluation and implementation of third-party cloud solutions and/or features based on the business needs. Requirements gathering, design, develop, test and implement high-quality, user-friendly solutions to meet goals and strategic objectives. Responsible for migration of employee data and other relevant information from legacy systems into new HR Technology systems. Design, develop and implement well-structured RESTful APIs to enable seamless integrations. Coordinate and manage HR technology projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to the desired quality standards. Provide Level 3 operational or systematic support and maintenance for the HR applications, resolving issues promptly and efficiently. Identify opportunities to streamline HR Processes using technology and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with business users in designing and implementing analytics to help them interpret their data to make informed business decisions. Adhere to the Security and Governance requirements across all administered applications. Adhere to the IT Service Delivery standards and Change Control processes. Skills we're seeking 8+ years of experience with Application Engineering and/or HRIS Analysis Must have 5+ years of experience focusing on HR technology, in an engineering/technical capacity Must have experience driving integrations with APIs and SSO (e.g. SAML, OAuth) for HR applications Must have experience working with business stakeholders to gather requirements or HR applications Must have experience providing escalated support for HR applications Must have strong SQL experience Must have at least some programming or scripting experience with .NET, Java, Python, Node, Shell, Bash or something similar Nice to haves Experience with large HRIS systems such as PeopleSoft, Workday or Oracle HCM Experience working with applications in cloud-environments, ideally Azure Experience with Mulesoft Active Directory or Azure AD experience (ideally both) Bachelor's or Master's Degree in an IT or HR related field 1872 Consulting
