As a Ride Control Tech, you'll provide a high level of technical, electrical and mechanical expertise in order to ensure our guests enjoy a thrilling, breathtaking - and safe experience. You will:
* Performs maintenance of all rides/attractions
* Responsible for all general maintenance of rides equipment.
* Must have the ability to perform as a team member in a job specific tasks.
* Must have the ability to complete tasks assigned within time constraints implied by park guidelines.
Position Responsibilities:
* Must perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all rides and equipment.
* Must keep working areas neat, clean, and tidy.
* Must possess some knowledge and understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
* This position requires dependable performance in terms of attendance, performance, acceptance of assignments, and strict adherence to all safety policies and requirements.
What it takes to succeed:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Recent successful Busch Gardens (BGT/BGW) rides maintenance experience
* Must possess proficient use of the English language.
* At least one year of mechanical experience or tech. school in mechanics and possess mechanical ability.
* Basic mathematical skills are required, as well as adequate reading and writing skills.
* Valid local driver's license.
Essential skills/abilities and experience:
* Must know green tag procedures of rides.
* Must be able to pass all competency tests offered.
* Must be a self-motivator with good initiative and flexibility. Should be able to organize and plan daily workload with little supervision and possess good communication skills
* Should possess good interpersonal skills and communicative abilities.
* Must be able to work well as a team player and interact well within a group.
