Position: Architectural Designer

Job Summary:

As an Architectural Designer at Royal Texan Homes LLC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the vision and character of our custom-built homes. Collaborating with our dedicated team of architects, engineers, and construction experts, you will transform ideas into stunning architectural designs that combine functionality, aesthetics, and sustainability. With a focus on creating homes that stand the test of time, you will uphold our values and commitment to providing the best possible homebuilding experience for our valued clients.

Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with the Project Design Manager and Architecture team to understand project requirements, objectives, and budget constraints.

2. Create innovative and practical architectural designs, utilizing cutting-edge software and design tools.

3. Develop detailed construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with building codes and regulations.

4. Collaborate with the construction team to ensure seamless translation of designs into reality, resolving any design-related issues during the construction process.

5. Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and building techniques to incorporate the latest innovations in your designs.

6. Conduct site visits to ensure design compatibility with site conditions and environmental factors.

7. Maintain organized project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and project correspondence.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field experience.

2. Proven experience in architectural design, preferably within the custom homebuilding industry.

3. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other design software.

4. Strong understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and construction methods.

5. Creative mindset with a keen eye for design aesthetics and attention to detail.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and clients.

7. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.

8. A portfolio showcasing past architectural designs and completed projects will be an advantage.

Additional Information:

This is a full-time position based at our Spring Location, The Woodlands office.

Travel to construction sites and client meetings may be required occasionally.
