The Opportunity

Fujitsu General America, Inc. (FGAI) is seeking a motivated individual for the position of Regional Sales Manager (RSM) to be based in the Mountain West region of the U.S. (Colorado, Utah) Reporting to the Director of Residential Product Sales, the RSM is responsible for promoting, selling and supporting FGAI's residential products. RSM's play a crucial role in driving revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, developing relationships with key stakeholders, and providing strategic leadership for distribution.

What You'll Do Every Day:

  • Direct, lead and manage independent Manufacturer Representatives.
  • Develop territory sales strategy and measure effectiveness.
  • Maintain working knowledge of activities, efforts and targets of Manufacturer Representatives.
  • Conduct Semi-Annual review with Sales Leadership.
  • Conduct research and analysis to identify potential customers, their needs, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Residential Sales and other RSM's to develop and implement effective sales strategies and tactics.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy to develop distribution and market share.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to showcase the benefits of Fujitsu Distribution as well as specific product benefits and applications.
  • Explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences, highlighting the value proposition of our products.
  • Understand customer requirements and tailor product demonstrations to address their specific needs.
  • Own the relationship with distribution’s key participants including principles, sales, and procurement.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, influencers, and stakeholders in the HVAC industry.
  • Engage with customers at all stages of the sales cycle, from initial contact to post-sales support, ensuring customer satisfaction and long-term business relationships.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, product management, Operations, and IT to address customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Develop and maintain an understanding of our HVAC product and channels.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and opportunities.
  • Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and performance metrics to track progress towards sales targets.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing and management or mechanical engineering or equivalent industry experience preferred
  • Acumen of the North American HVAC distribution model
  • Proven track record in independent representative management
  • Strong technical knowledge of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) industry and applications
  • Extensive travel; willingness to travel as required
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain customer relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented
