Project Design Engineer

trak group is partnering with a fast-growing manufacturing company to hire a Project Design Engineer to lead mechanical design efforts for innovative, production-ready products. This is a high-impact, full-time role ideal for an experienced engineer who thrives in hands-on environments and wants to see their designs move from concept to factory floor.

What You’ll Do

• Own mechanical design for electro-mechanical systems using SolidWorks
• Design components using injection molding, rotational molding, sheet metal, and other manufacturing methods
• Develop assemblies and subcomponents optimized for manufacturability, durability, and performance
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales throughout the product lifecycle
• Support BOM development, ECNs, simulation, and FMEA processes
• Contribute to project planning, root cause analysis, and production support

What You Bring

• BSME or BSMET with 5+ years of mechanical product design experience (or equivalent practical expertise)
• Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and mechanical system design
• Deep understanding of component-level design, tolerancing, and system integration
• Experience with consumer products, capital equipment, or industrial manufacturing is preferred
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a passion for turning ideas into manufacturable products

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Location: Hamilton, OH (100% on-site)
