About the Role In this role you will be a part of the Inventory Management team that brings the financial strategy of our product vision to life by managing the largest financial asset of the company: our product itself. As Merchandise Planner, you will drive the success of one or more product categories by creating a financial roadmap and marrying it to brand strategy and customer needs. You are passionate about using your qualitative and quantitative skillset in a fashion retail environment and find joy and creativity in forecasting and financial planning. You are curious, innovative, and focused on executing an amazing customer experience while delivering/exceeding financial targets. Strong analytical and storytelling skills will serve you well, and a collaborative mindset is a must. What You'll Do Financial Strategist Applies connectivity of metrics to pinpoint the most critical issues and identify root causes of short and longterm business results. Performs omni-first data analysis for short-term financial impact using responsive, pricing or allocation strategies in partnership with cross-functional team. Applies critical thinking when confronted with conflicting information to drive the best business results. Translates qualitative insight of customers, market, and products into short and long-term quantitative topsdown and bottoms-up strategies. Plan Analytics & Forecast Fluency Articulates the analytics behind plan and forecast development, including system impacts on processes and the cross-functional team. Develops confidence in the demand forecast, thoroughly understanding forecast logic and providing feedback for improvement. Monitors performance vs. plan and forecast and executes prudent exceptions outside of plan analytics and forecast logic. Incorporates data accurately from various sources to leverage analytics to drive action plans. Respond to Customer Demand Makes flexible and responsive inventory recommendations and executes swiftly based on insights from customer, product, market, and financial data. Incorporates cross-functional perspectives to drive actions for financial gain, while working within constraints. Demonstrates knowledge of responsive buying tracks and guardrails in relation to product strategies. Utilizes various tops-down and bottoms-up forecasts, inventory rebalancing, and pricing processes to take action on hits and misses to maximize business results. Influence Conveys persuasive ideas and recommendations confidently, supported by data, insights, and business context. Fosters partnerships through an understanding of the interconnections and dependencies among crossfunctional colleagues. Seeks out alternative ideas and balances a confident point of view with flexibility. Tailors message for the appropriate audience and situation. Salary Range: $68,900 - $99,900 USD Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.
