Physical Education Teacher

St. Margaret School, Narberth, PA

Permanent/ Part-time

The Physical Education Teacher will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating a comprehensive physical education curriculum for students in grades PreK through 8th. The ideal candidate will engage students in various physical activities, promote healthy lifestyles, and encourage teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal fitness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and deliver engaging physical education lessons aligned with state standards and curriculum goals.
- Assess and evaluate student performance in physical skills and fitness, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster an inclusive and safe learning environment where students can thrive physically and socially.
- Stay updated with current trends and best practices in physical education and adapt curriculum accordingly.
- Promote a positive attitude toward physical activity and encourage lifelong fitness habits.

Qualifications:

- Strong knowledge of physical fitness, sports, health education, and child development.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and engage effectively with students of diverse backgrounds.
- A passion for promoting physical activity and a healthy lifestyle among students.

  Clearances will be required  as well as other documentation if the position is offered. Please download the Teacher Application attached for a list of documents that will be needed.

If the position is offered, the candidate will be required to complete the “Protecting God’s Children” training through the Archdiocese of Philadelphia. Additional information regarding this training can be found  here .
