Description
REPORTS TO: General Manager Essential accountabilities: •Floor leads organize and maintain inbound inventory and stock control. They ensure that the storage areas and warehouse is kept clean and tidy, which includes identifying areas where processes could be improved, and work practices amended.
•Floor leads are responsible for the inbound process and the QA team making sure that processes are followed and looking for possible improvements.
•Recruiting and training employees is key to a warehouse lead's role, and part of this task is to monitor the performance of staff and raise any issues or further training requirements. Floor leads also track the performance of the warehouse overall to ensure that it's running smoothly.
•Floor leads are responsible for monitoring tables efficiencies, which are maintained via the visual inspection and the DPR. Floor leads utilize reports to maintain their knowledge of the warehouse jobs/line statuses.
•If there are any issues with inbound material, Floor leads will communicate with Subaru and Coregistics leadership to resolve the problem and ensure that the correct processes are followed.
•Floor leads have a detailed understanding of the customers requirements and ensures that our team meets them in regards to warehouse and process.
•Floor leads provide clear verbals or written instructions so that the expectations of employee roles are understood
•An understanding of finance, databases, and spreadsheets is important to this role, so Floor leads have strong numeracy skills to carry out these tasks efficiently
•Floor leads achieve high levels of customer satisfaction through excellence in receiving, dispatching, and in the quality of goods
•As team leaders, Floor leads assist their colleagues when necessary and are polite and helpful at all times to ensure a smooth running of the warehouse
•Floor leads motivate their team, provide guidance, and delegate tasks, which requires strong leadership skills
