Job Description
Position: Office Clerk at The Ellison Hotel
Summary:
As an Office Clerk at The Ellison Hotel, you will be responsible for providing efficient and organized administrative support to all operational departments in the hotel. You will be the first point of contact for guests and will be responsible for ensuring a smooth flow of communication within the hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and direct guests to the appropriate department or staff member
- Answer and direct incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner
- Provide administrative support to all departments, including processing paperwork, filing, and data entry
- Prepare and maintain various reports and documents
- Collaborate with different departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Monitor office supplies and replenish as needed
- Assist with scheduling appointments and meetings
- Sort and distribute incoming and outgoing mail and packages
- Keep track of inventory and order office supplies when necessary
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an office clerk or similar role
- Familiarity with office equipment and basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, etc.)
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A friendly and personable demeanor
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently
- A team player with a positive attitude
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Office Administration will be an asset
- 2+ years of experience in a similar role
- Knowledge of hotel operations is a plus
