To assist in leading the school in alignment with its mission to educate students in God’s Truth, shepherding with integrity of heart and skillful hands (Ps. 78:72) while fostering a Christ-centered learning environment.

All Tree of Life employees are ministers of the gospel of Jesus Christ. As such, the Assistant Principal is expected to demonstrate the following qualities:

Complete acceptance of Tree of Life Christian Schools’ Statement of Faith.
Active membership in a Bible-believing church with no significant doctrinal differences from Tree of Life’s Statement of Faith.
Education:
Holds an education degree from an accredited college/university.
Licensed by the State of Ohio and/or the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).
Pursuing or holds a graduate degree in educational leadership or administration (strongly preferred).
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of teaching experience (prior leadership or administrative experience preferred).
Skills:
Competent leader with proven ability to mentor and guide staff.
Strong communication and conflict resolution skills.
Integrity in handling confidential information.
Organized and detail-oriented in administrative tasks.
Able to analyze data and support faculty in improving student outcomes.
Serve as a spiritual and professional leader, promoting a Christ-centered school culture.
Assist in the strategic planning and development of school initiatives aligned with the school’s mission and goals.
Provide mentorship and coaching to faculty and staff, fostering professional growth.
Act as a liaison between parents, staff, and the administration to maintain a strong sense of community.
Collaborate with the Principal to oversee the development, organization, and evaluation of curriculum, ensuring alignment with biblical principles.
Support the implementation of data-driven instructional practices and assist faculty in using achievement data to guide instruction.
Evaluate classroom instruction, with a focus on integrating a biblical worldview.
Assist in ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and school policies.
Lead and coordinate student activities, clubs, and special events to enrich student life.
Assist in student discipline, promoting a culture of respect, responsibility, and Christian character.
Participate in the student admission process, including interviews and tours for prospective families.
Assist the Principal in the supervision and evaluation of faculty and designated staff.
Provide support in recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of new staff.
Promote a collaborative work environment through regular communication, staff meetings, and team-building activities.
Support the Principal in managing budgets and resource allocation for designated areas.
Ensure timely and accurate communication with parents and the school community regarding school events, policies, and student progress.
Represent the school at community events, conferences, and professional gatherings as needed.
Engage in ongoing professional development, including leadership training and faith-based learning opportunities.
Stay current with educational best practices and legal requirements related to private Christian schools.
Performance for the Assistant Principal will be evaluated based on:
Spiritual Leadership: Demonstrates consistent spiritual leadership and guidance in interactions with staff, students, and parents.
Administrative Effectiveness: Completes assigned duties with accuracy, timeliness, and professionalism.
Instructional Leadership: Supports the development of high-quality instructional practices and ensures biblical integration in the curriculum.
Student and Staff Engagement: Promotes positive student and staff morale through leadership, communication, and support.
Professional Development: Actively engages in professional growth opportunities and applies new learning to improve the school environment.
Collaboration and Communication: Fosters strong relationships with all school stakeholders and maintains clear, effective communication.
