Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Prototype Machinist & Fabricator to join our team in a fast-paced manufacturing and prototype environment. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of verifiable experience operating standard machinist tools and equipment. Additionally, expertise in fabrication techniques—including welding, forming, and machining—using steel, stainless steel, and aluminum is required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operate safely within a production and machine shop environment.
• Collaborate closely with engineers on prototype designs and development projects.
• Utilize manual lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other precision machining tools to produce high-accuracy components, tooling, and prototypes.
• Interpret blueprints, sketches, and verbal instructions to plan machining and fabrication sequences.
• Fabricate fixtures, prototype models, assemblies, and production tools from steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
• Support manufacturing by producing production parts, prototypes, and fixtures on schedule.
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines.
• Follow both written and verbal instructions effectively.

Requirements:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Experience with Haas CNC programming and setup (including modifying programs for accurate production of parts) is a plus but not required.
• Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding of stainless steel and aluminum is a plus but not required.
• Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles is an advantage.
