Entry Level Staff Accountant ~ Bethesda, MD area

$65k, plus bonus, 401(k), hybrid work options

My client is a non-profit with an exciting new opportunity for a Staff Accountant. The Staff Accountant will join a very experienced team and be responsible for processing high volume vendor payable invoices, including expense reports, posting GL entries, and coding of invoices. Candidates with large ERP software experience are highly encouraged to apply. The Staff Accountant ideally will have experience managing a high volume fully cycle payables processing system and payment processing experience. Accounts Payable Accountant will report to the Controller will be responsible for the following duties:

• Process high volume invoices for multiple properties and sites
• Manage the System for all payables including process improvement and policy review
• Code, match, batch, and processes checks and ACHs
• Posting GL journal entries, monthly reconciliations, and accruals
• Set-up new vendors within ERP System
• Resolve discrepancies with payments and vendor inquires
• Track monthly accruals and variance in vendor payments
• Manage the sales & uses tax processing

Requirements:

• 2+ years’ experience in full cycle accounts payable
• Excellent Communication written and verbal
• BS/BA degree is preferred
