Amalgamated Bank is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to develop and execute an internal communications strategy that engages employees, drives culture and is connected to external messaging. This position reports to the Head of Communications Strategy and will play a pivotal role in elevating and enhancing internal communications to maximize engagement and adoption.

Essential Job Functions:
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
+ Ensure a consistent tone and voice for internal communications, balancing cultural sensitivities
+ Create a feedback mechanism to gauge success of communication to guide development for future communications
+ Create an editorial board to inform a continuous pipeline of stories that drive engagement and highlight company successes
+ Draft. review, edit and gain approvals for communications materials for various channels
+ Create integrated campaigns that highlights and amplifies new brand narrative
+ Provide communications support for HR -- including Open enrollment, performance management, new hire announcements
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Requirements:
+ Bachelors degree in marketing, English, Journalism, or equivalent experience
+ 6+ years of experience in managing Public Relations, corporate communications or equivalent competencies working in an agency. Multi-functional communications role a plus.
+ Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
+ Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to work with and engage cross-functional constituents
+ An entrepreneurial, strategic mindset and fine-tuned project management skills
+ Comfort and proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment
+ Resilient and able to work autonomously in the face of ambiguity.
+ Ability to juggle many balls at once and manage through high intensity moments.
Our job titles may span more than one career level. The starting base salary for this role is between $89,950.00 $105,000.00. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferrable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
