JOB SUMMARY

This position will support the Human Resources team with daily administrative tasks and various HR initiatives. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in HR processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, and data management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assists with the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, and coordinating interviews. Supports the onboarding process by preparing employee orientation materials, conducting background checks, and coordinating new hire activities. Maintains and updates employee records in the HR system, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality. Assists with drafting and mailing various notices to employees. Helps with organizing employee training sessions, workshops, and HR-related events. Leads special HR projects and research initiatives as assigned. Assists in responding to employee inquiries and provides administrative support to the HR team as needed. Performs general clerical duties, including filing, data entry, and document preparation. Performs other duties as necessary. MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree or Master's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Previous internship or administrative experience is a plus, but not required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Knowledge of Human Resources principles, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee relations. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Skill in the operation of standard office machines, including computer-driven data entry equipment. Skill in communicating, both verbally and in writing. Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and meet deadlines Ability to research program documents and to compile reports from information gathered. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships as necessitated by work assignments. Ability to perform various administrative tasks and assignments to support the development of public programming. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The work is sedentary work and requires exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body; work may also require crouching, manual dexterity, perceiving sounds at normal speaking levels, distinguishing among sounds, mental acuity, talking, and walking.
