This is a part-time internship position with an estimated commitment of [20 hours] per week. The Part-Time HR Intern will play a vital role in supporting the Human Resources department of Doeren Mayhew Houston on a part-time basis. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in various HR functions while accommodating your academic schedule. The intern will assist in HR operations, talent management, and employee relations within the context of the accounting industry. Responsibilities: Recruitment Assistance: Collaborate in drafting clear and comprehensive job descriptions and job postings. Aid in the initial screening of resumes and applications, and help schedule interviews. Assist in coordinating interview logistics and communication with candidates. Onboarding and Orientation: Contribute to preparing onboarding materials and welcome kits for new hires. Assist in organizing and facilitating new hire orientation sessions. Support the setup of new hire workstations and their integration into the team. Employee Engagement: Assist in planning and executing employee engagement initiatives and events. Participate in maintaining a positive work environment and addressing employee queries. HR Data Maintenance: Help update employee records and ensure accuracy in HR databases. Compliance and Documentation: Support HR in maintaining compliance with employment laws. Contribute to the organization and upkeep of personnel files and documentation. Qualifications: Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Detail-oriented with the ability to handle confidential information. Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). An interest in understanding HR practices.
