Company : Crown is a leading global diversified packaging business that manufactures metal cans and ends (aluminum and steel) for the beverage, food and aerosol industries and a wide range of transit packaging products and solutions from multiple substrates including steel, paper, and plastic. Position Overview : The General Counsel - Americas will provide comprehensive legal services to Crown’s Americas Division, which operates in eight countries, including Canada, USA, Mexico and Brazil. The position will oversee key areas such as negotiation of customer and supplier contracts, formation and counseling related to strategic alliances (e.g., mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, joint development projects, etc.), litigation management, corporate governance, regulatory issues and general corporate legal matters. The General Counsel – Americas will also provide support to the Company’s General Counsel on certain corporate-level matters. This role requires a seasoned legal professional with a strong grounding in commercial and corporate transactions, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to navigate complex legal landscapes. The position reports directly to the General Counsel of Crown. Experience : The successful candidate will have at least 12 years of legal experience, including significant commercial and corporate law experience and in-house counsel experience. Prior law firm experience gained at a mid-to-large size firm is strongly preferred. Manufacturing industry experience is preferred. Experience with international transactions is a plus. Location/Relocation : Tampa, FL; relocation package to be provided. Return to Work : Full time in office culture. Compensation : Commensurate with experience. The package includes base salary, target bonus, long term incentive and benefits.
