* GEOKON is a manufacturer of sensors and used in civil, mining and structural engineering throughout the world.
We are currently seeking an **Electronics Assembler**, who at the direction of the Production Supervisor, will assemble electronic instrumentation, dataloggers and subassemblies according to standard practices and procedures. This is a full-time position.
**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**
+ **Product Assembly:**
- Cable preparation; including stripping, tinning and labeling
- Electronics and Mechanical type assembly using hand tools and power tools
- Gluing and sealing using Loctite, epoxy, RTV and other components
- Solder and assemble various components to PCB boards
- Work with various sized materials from heavy enclosures to small intricate parts
- Assist in other functional areas such as mechanical assembly, quality control and technical services as required
- Help maintain equipment and a clean work environment **Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:**
+ High school diploma or equivalent required
+ 1-3 years of electronics assembly experience required **Other Requirements:**
+ Must be familiar with manufacturing processes, use of electronic test equipment, analyze mechanical prints and tolerances, sketching, layout and drafting work
+ Proficiency with **Windows** based PC and **Microsoft Office** software
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
+ Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
+ Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
+ Ability to work well with other employees and a willingness to switch tasks frequently when required
+ Soldering experience is required
+ Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
+ Perform other related duties as assigned
