Job Description:

The Director of Advertising (DSP) is responsible for leading Pirawna’s Amazon DSP (Demand-Side Platform) advertising strategy, execution, and optimization. This role will focus on developing high-performing DSP campaigns that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and revenue growth for our clients. The Director of Advertising (DSP) will work closely with internal teams and clients to ensure advertising initiatives align with broader business objectives, while continuously improving performance through data-driven analysis and strategic innovation.

Primary Job Functions:

  • Amazon DSP Strategy & Execution:
  • Develop and oversee the Amazon DSP advertising strategy, ensuring campaigns align with clients' business objectives and drive measurable results.
  • Lead campaign planning and creation, audience segmentation, and creative strategy to maximize reach, engagement, and conversions.
  • Campaign Performance & Optimization:
  • Continuously monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven optimizations to improve ROAS, CTR, and conversion rates.
  • Identify and implement best practices for ad placements, bid strategies, and audience retargeting to drive better performance.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with Brand Growth Strategists to ensure cohesive advertising strategies and align DSP advertising initiatives with overall brand goals.
  • Partner with Brand Growth Strategists and our software providers to develop custom reporting dashboards and performance insights.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management:
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on Amazon DSP, educating internal teams and clients on best practices and new opportunities.
  • Provide regular reporting and strategic recommendations to clients, demonstrating the impact of DSP campaigns on business growth.
  • Stay up to date with Amazon’s evolving advertising ecosystem, ensuring Pirawna remains ahead of industry trends.
  • Technology & Innovation:
  • Evaluate and integrate new tools, automation, and technologies to enhance campaign execution and efficiency.
  • Test and explore emerging Amazon ad formats and inventory opportunities to expand reach and effectiveness.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Amazon DSP advertising, programmatic media buying, or digital advertising strategy.
  • Strong background in optimizing programmatic ad campaigns, with a focus on audience targeting, bid strategies, and performance metrics.
  • Deep understanding of Amazon's advertising platform, audience segmentation, and conversion tracking methodologies.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data sets and turn insights into actionable advertising strategies.
  • Experience working in a client-facing role, providing strategic recommendations and managing advertising budgets.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple campaigns simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to educate clients and internal teams on DSP best practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced knowledge of programmatic advertising platforms is a plus.
