Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver and Production Associate to join our team. As a Delivery Driver you will be responsible for transporting our craft ice products safely and efficiently to our customers in the Chicagoland area. Since our busiest months are May-August and Oct-Dec, in our slower months/days you will work alongside our team in the factory when you do not have full days of deliveries. Keep in mind we are a start-up, which means we are looking for a team member willing to lean in and help where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Safely and efficiently drive delivery vehicles to transport craft ice to designated locations, primarily restaurants and hospitality establishments.
• Load and unload craft ice products from the delivery vehicle, ensuring proper handling and care of the merchandise.
• Plan delivery routes to optimize efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service during deliveries, maintaining a positive brand image.
• Verify delivery instructions and ensure all necessary paperwork is complete and accurate.
• When not driving, leaning in to help in production when needed.

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required but a plus)
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with delivery.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or a similar role.
• Familiarity with the Chicagoland area and ability to navigate using GPS or maps.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet delivery schedules.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the food and beverage industry or delivery of perishable goods.
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices.
• Familiarity with the Chicagoland area and local restaurant scene.
• Flexibility to work early mornings or evenings based on delivery schedules.
