CES/AWS is looking for a CMM Programmer/Operator

📍 Location: Tampa, FL

🕒 Job Type: Temp-to-Perm

💰 Pay Rate: $32/hour

Position Summary:

We are seeking a skilled CMM Programmer/Operator to join our client's growing team! In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting parts to ensure they meet engineering requirements and specifications. This includes programming and operating Mitutoyo CMM systems running MCOSMOS software , generating reports, and working with cross-functional teams to maintain quality standards.

This is a temp-to-perm opportunity, offering long-term career growth for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Program and operate Mitutoyo CMM using MCOSMOS software.
• Inspect steel and plastic parts using GD&T and engineering drawings.
• Generate and maintain inspection reports and quality documentation .
• Verify part inspection programs and ensure accuracy.
• Conduct 1st piece approvals and analyze CNC machine setups.
• Operate OGP vision systems, comparators, micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and 2D scanning equipment .
• Maintain and calibrate CMM equipment .
• Work with teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
• Support new product launches and conduct root cause analysis for quality issues.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training is a plus).
• Proven experience as a CMM Programmer/Operator in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in Mitutoyo MCOSMOS software and GD&T .
• Strong knowledge of quality inspection methods and tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications .
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and problem-solving abilities .
• Experience with ISO 9001, Six Sigma , or other quality management systems (preferred).
• Physical ability to sit, stand, stoop, and lift as needed.
