CNC Machine Operator

Our client is seeking a  CNC MACHINISTS to join their team , our client is  a full-service packaging equipment company in Lake County. 
\n
\n Location: Cleveland 
\n Pay:  Depending on experience $22.50 - $26/hr.
\n Hours: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM 

\n\n

Job Responsibilities:

\n\n

\n\t
• Operate CNC milling machines to manufacture parts from various materials, including steel, stainless steel, plastic, and fiberglass.\n\t
• Leverage knowledge of materials, CNC programming, and machining techniques to meet precise production requirements.\n\t
• Read and interpret blueprints and sketches, selecting the appropriate tooling for each job.\n\t
• Determine optimal machine speeds and feed rates based on project specifications.\n\t
• Efficiently set up machines, ensuring all components are correctly squared before starting the job.\n\t
• Utilize inspection tools like micrometers and calipers to measure the accuracy of finished parts.\n\t
• Apply basic shop math skills, including working with fractions, decimals, and converting metric sizes.\n\t
• Understand and interpret CNC programs, including G-codes and M-codes, ensuring accuracy by comparing set-up sheets with program instructions.\n\t
• Observe machine operations during test runs to ensure the program instructions are followed correctly.\n\t
• Complete necessary quality documentation accurately and maintain detailed records.\n\t
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following good housekeeping practices at all times.\n

Education and Experience Requirements:

\n\n

\n\t
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional trade school training is a plus.\n\t
• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a machinist or machine operator.\n\t
• Strong mathematical skills, particularly in shop math and measurement conversions.\n\t
• Proven ability to meet production targets and maintain high-quality standards.\n

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.\n\t
• A strong sense of urgency and commitment to quality work.\n\t
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, along with technical proficiency.\n\t
• A focus on safety in all aspects of the job.\n\t
• Positive attitude with the ability to contribute to a team-oriented work environment.\n
