One Federal Solution seeks a talented and passionate Clinical Research Audiology Assistant team member to support our Federal Government client. As a Clinical Research Audiology Assistant, you will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to uncover insights that will drive informed business decisions as follows:
Tasks & Duties:
Participate in patient care/services and the administration of assessments of the auditory and vestibular systems in pediatric and adult patients under the supervision of the audiologist. This may include providing assistance as a second tester to facilitate pediatric patients during evaluation.
Maintain the audiology clinic and service setting through verification of the function and safety of the equipment routinely, perform infection control, maintain inventory of supplies, and assist with clerical duties (e.g., stocking, ordering preparations, recordkeeping).
Assist with clinical appointment coordination and scheduling reviews to ensure room resources and staffing needs are met for clinical care delivery.
Assist in the regulatory oversight and daily operational logistics of clinical research protocols. This may include technical support like basic troubleshooting, help ticket placement, and calibration checks and logs for quality assurance.
Assist with submissions of all new clinical research protocols to internal research support teams and IRB.
Provide assistance to support patients and care providers for patient navigation and patient experience through Audiology (customer service skills and comfort with pediatric/complex care preferred).
Document clinical encounters for patients within required systems as needed. This may include data quality assurance through database updates and manual entry of some key data elements.
Assist with quality assurance and clinical systems updates routinely.
Perform routine cleaning, inspections, validation, and testing on equipment, and ensure that required maintenance is scheduled.
Assist with activities such as research projects, in-service training, outreach, and training activities hosted by Audiology.
Participate in meetings and present updates to other lab staff.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a college degree in communication sciences and disorders (CSD), or in a relevant scientific discipline from a regionally or nationally accredited program OR military job series awarding certificate (audiology/ENT).
Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a clinical research environment.
Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
Communication and interpersonal skills necessary for the tasks assigned and engaging with pediatric to adult individuals.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task and pay close attention to detail.
Adaptability to changing day-to-day activities to support clinical needs (i.e., each day may not look the same from patient care to administrative support duties).
