Job Description This Position is Contingent on Contract Award. Under the direction of the National Program Director and the National Medical Director, the Behavioral Health Advisor (BHA - LCSW) implements and evaluates behavioral health assessments and interventions in accordance with the policies and protocols listed in the Statement of Work (SOW) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) directives for the delivery of healthcare services to persons in custody. The BHA – LCSW collaborates with the management team in overall planning and execution of program directives, assuring delivery of quality healthcare services within medical units at U.S. Customs and Border Protection sites. Key Responsibilities Implements and evaluates behavioral health assessments and interventions in accordance with the SOW and DHS directives. Provides Operational Behavioral Health (BH) advice, support, and coordination to Sector leadership and CBP staff. Conducts behavioral health climate assessments to identify and address operational BH issues. Documents all work in a clear and concise manner in the electronic medical record or other reports as prescribed by CBP. Provides behavioral health education and training to sector leadership and CBP staff. Travels to stations within the respective sector to provide educational briefings on BH issues. Provides confidential consultation with staff regarding BH issues in critical incident situations. Offers educational trainings on relevant topics including trauma informed care and psychological first aid. Protects children from situations of abuse, neglect, and maltreatment while in custody. Produces monthly and annual reports capturing all work performed. Qualifications
