Audit Supervisor: Global Financial Crimes - Economic Sanctions
Location: Plano, TX
Type: Full-Time Position
We are seeking a dedicated Audit Supervisor specializing in Global Financial Crimes and Economic Sanctions. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a leading financial organization in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities:
Audit Execution: Independently perform test work during highly complex audit activities for various Lines of Business (LOBs).
Design & Execution: Develop and execute audit tests, assess business impact, recommend severity ratings, and establish business partner relationships.
Control Environment Evaluation: Foster an inclusive work environment, apply product, business, and technical expertise, and support team member development.
Coaching & Guidance: Provide day-to-day coaching and guidance to teammates, demonstrating strategic thinking and supporting change.
Quality Delivery: Ensure timely audit work within quality standards and conformance to audit policies and procedures.
Issue Assessment: Evaluate issues for impact on business processes, controls, and strategies; recommend severity ratings and escalate broad themes or trends.
Reporting: Draft quality and timely audit issues and reports, effectively influencing management to improve the control environment.
Audit Strategy Execution: Define audit scope and programs, leverage automation and innovative methods, and ensure timely, high-quality results.
Technical Expertise: Utilize knowledge of product, business, and technical aspects to challenge management and enhance the control environment.
Peer Development: Support team development through on-the-job training and foster an inclusive work environment.
Business Partnerships: Establish relationships with line management to develop business knowledge.
Innovative Tools: Use innovative tools to complete audit activities more efficiently.
Sanctions Audits: Perform sanctions audits at the enterprise level and across diverse business lines.
Compliance Audits: Design and perform compliance audit procedures, leveraging data and analytical tools.
Communication: Communicate audit results to management through written reports and oral presentations.
Risk Assessment: Perform sanctions risk assessments, evaluate potential risk exposures, and assess materiality of loss.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of audit experience related to AML, sanctions, fraud risk management, banking regulations, and internal policies.
Audit Expertise: Experience conducting Economic Sanction audits, Risk Management audits, Compliance audits, or related areas.
Skills: Strong project management, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; attention to detail and accuracy.
Critical Thinking: Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Professionalism: High level of professionalism, dependability, integrity, and trustworthiness.
Team Environment: Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.

Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.
Regulatory Knowledge: Experience with economic sanctions, US financial crime regulations, and financial services industry understanding.
Communication Skills: Effective influence skills in communicating findings, both verbally and in writing.
Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external audit and management.
Technical Documentation: Experience in audit planning, internal audit review, issue management, and risk management.
Additional Skills: Automation skills, business acumen, project management, and relationship building skills.
Desired Skills:
Advanced Degrees: Master's degree in Auditing, Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
Certifications: Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM), or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
