POSITION SUMMARY:
The Aud Tech/PCC is a hybrid role which reports to the Regional Clinic Manager and works under the supervision of a licensed audiologist. This position is responsible for the smooth flow of the clinic including patient management/scheduling in the EMR system. This role is also responsible for preparing for patient visits including setting up the exam rooms, rooming patients, prepping patients for audiological tests, assisting in tele audiology functions and managing new hearing aid orders and repairs.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Opens and closes the clinic each workday.
- Ensures all computer and audiology equipment is turned on each day and ready for patients, checks calibrations, updates, battery and charge levels to be sure equipped for the day.
- Oversees and manages the schedules for all patient activities.
- Handles all ACHA walk-ins,-trouble shoots ACHA difficulties and determines next course of action.
- Is responsible for infection control program at their site.
- Answers all incoming calls and directs patient appropriately.
- Returns voicemails if wasn’t available to answer the phone due to assisting HCP.
- Sends out patient paperwork in preparation of all appointment types. Follows up if paperwork is not completed prior to the appointment. If not completed, works with the patient to either complete over the phone or when they come to the office.
- Assists remote Treatment Coordinator and Treatment Specialist with Tele-Health appointments.
- Oversees the sanitization and Covid Policy process.
- Ensures compliance with HIPAA.
- Participates in off-site grassroots marketing activities including physician education and referral programs as well as community education activities.
- Makes outbound calls to educate and schedule prospects.
- Manages office supply inventory process for their location.
- Prepares daily, weekly and monthly reports as directed.
- Joins daily huddles as directed.
- Participates in regular staff meetings.
- Manages monthly reconciliation report for ELHC petty cash fund for their location.
- Assists patients with 3rd party financing as needed such as Ally and Pro Pay.
- Assists in and manages device ordering process for their site: all invoices and sales agreements are uploaded to Counsel Ear prior to the monthly deadline, a copy of all Earlens sales agreements accompany the order to Customer Care
- Receives all Earlens devices and acoustic hearing devices and prepares them for fitting and delivery.
- Assists customers with exchanges or returns as needed.
- Prepares marketing material as needed and directed.
- Supports marketing activities as directed.
- Assists in hand-delivering physician reports.
- Travel for work conferences and continuing education may be required.
- Maintain all professional certifications.
- Other duties as required and directed.
- Exercises confidentiality to ensure compliance with all HIPAA regulations.

Education and Experience
- 2+ years’ experience working in a busy medical clinic or business.
- High school graduate or equivalent- Medical Assistant certificate or equivalent a plus
- Competency with EMR software such as Counsel Ear.
- Willing to take AuD Tech distance program
