Overview:

The Architectural / Interior Design Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of luxury store design, renovations, and special projects. This hybrid role, based in Long Island City, requires strong organizational and project management skills to ensure timely, on-budget completion of projects while maintaining brand standards. The position collaborates with internal teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to optimize efficiency and uphold the integrity of retail environments.

Pay: $120,000 - $143,000 salary range

Architectural / Interior Design Project Manager Duties:

• Manage end-to-end execution of store design and renovation projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and excellence standards.
• Develop and oversee detailed project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from bidding through completion.
• Act as the primary liaison between internal stakeholders, vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure seamless project execution.
• Track project costs, source materials, and manage financial reporting in alignment with capital expenditure guidelines.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, enhance efficiency, and maintain accurate project documentation.
• Proactively assess risks, develop contingency plans, and troubleshoot issues on-site to mitigate project delays.

Architectural / Interior Design Project Manager Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Must have a portfolio showing what projects you have worked on.
• 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in luxury retail, architecture, or interior design.
• Strong understanding of retail store construction, millwork, and fixture production.
• Knowledge of building codes, sustainability principles, and best practices in cross-functional project management.
• Proficiency in project management tools (Microsoft Project, AirTable, Procore) and design software (CAD / AutoCAD, Revit).
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong financial acumen and budgeting experience.
